Mar 6, 2017Lisa Menzo Santoro, 47, was shot to death Friday in her home on Saddle Lane. Her body was found in her car inside the garage, leading investigators to believe the gunman either gained entry to the home or followed her inside when she returned from her morning routine, Northampton County Assistant District Attorney Terry Houck said."She wasn't able to defend herself," Houck said. "She never had a chance; it's just that simple."A suspect in her death, Leonard Moser, 45, with whom authorities believe she had a past relationship, appeared to have killed himself later that day. Houck said it will take time for police to complete firearms ballistics testing and interview neighbors before conclusively identifying the gunman, but investigators have no other suspects."Right now, everything points to him being the guy," Houck said.Community members wanting to pay their respects to Menzo Santoro — remembered for her smile and support for youth sports — can visit a local funeral home this week.Menzo Santoro worked many years as a dental assistant and most recently worked as a bookkeeper for RDE Systems Support Group, according to her obituary on the Morello Funeral Home website.Public calling hours will be 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Palmer Township.A Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon Wednesday in Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 400 Maywood Avenue, Maywood, N.J.Interment will follow at George Washington Cemetery, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, N.J.Menzo Santoro, a mother of four, was remembered by friends as a bright, enthusiastic woman involved in the local community.Police sought Moser after Menzo Santoro was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds. She had obtained a protection-from-abuse order that was served to Moser on Feb. 27.It doesn't appear to be the first time Moser drew police attention.
